key points for the student appearing in the board exams

Every year millions of students appear for class 10th and 12th board exams. These two exams are very important for their upcoming academics life. Passing class 10th exam promote them to anyone out of three streams i.e Humanities, Commerce or Science and that after class 12th exam they are promoted to different colleges on the basis of their marks obtained in class 12. So seeing the values of these exams it is very necessary to know their requirements too.
    On the basis of my own experience, I am giving you some tips for these exams.


Things upon which one should concentrate

• Revision is the key

          Revision is the most important thing for this especially in the last two months before the exam. You can't depend upon the one-time study because our brain needs repetition. It can't memorize the things for a long time until the things are repeated. Also, we have lots of things to study like different chapters of different subjects and lots more. So to remember these hell lots of things, we have to revise again and again to capture the concepts for a longer period of time or sometimes even permanently.

• Make small targets while studying    

             You should always set small targets before starting the study. Tell yourself that you will finish this specific chapter in this much of time and start studying. By doing this you will be much more concentrated and try to reach your target.

        If you just start studying things without any specific plan then most probably you will not get a right direction and right time to study a chapter and end up doing mismanagement of time. So it is very much necessary to set small targets.

• Don't worry about results

                Yes, you heard it right. Don't think about your results. It is not under your control. Instead of that, concentrate on your preparation for the exam, your strategies, your time management, your small targets etc. Try to give your 100% in the exam and rest of all leave upon the ALMIGHTY. You may be thinking that I am telling some spiritual things but no, this is the fact. There is no use of worrying only about the so-called RESULTS.

           If you go and ask any previous topper of these exams then all of them will tell you that they hadn't thought of being a topper but they were confident of doing good in the exams on the basis of their preparation.

 So just believe in the SYSTEM and not on the OUTCOME.

• Consider each and every mark very important

           Yes, you have to consider each and every mark very important then only you can think of scoring decent marks in the exam. Then only you'll try your best and fight for every single mark. This thought increases your efficiency as well as concentration during the exam because you're not ready to let any marks go from your hands.

         Therefore, start trying to build this thought inside your mind. It will bring changes in your attitude towards these exams.

• Follow the Question paper pattern 

               Always keep the pattern of the question paper in your mind. Follow the pattern and make the strategies according to it. 

              In case you haven't studied all the chapters very well then following the question pattern is very much necessary. You have to eliminate those chapters in which you don't have the good grip if and only if you're sure that you can get options for doing answers to other chapter's question.

           Also, by following the question pattern, you will have an idea of what type of questions are coming in the exam and based upon that you may know your level of preparation. So it's good to follow the pattern.

• Practice answer writing

              Instead of only reading the answers, try to write them too on your own. This will increase your writing creativity and enhance your ability to present the answers in a very good way. Don't follow the words of the book completely. Try to understand the topics and put it down in your own words. I personally used to do this in these exams which were quite helpful in getting good marks.

Now, in the examination hall while giving exam you should keep these things in your mind...

1. Read the whole questions first in a go and just put a small tick on the questions whose answer you know very well.
2. First, start doing the multiple choice questions and if you don't know the answer of any of them then just leave a blank space on the first page of answer sheet and move ahead. Don’t waste time on it. Remember, don't waste time on multiple choice questions.You can do it later also.
3. Now the major portion starts. In this, you have to remember two things. Write that answer which you know well and also which will take less time. Suppose you know two questions very well but you have to give the answer to any one of them then you should choose that which take lesser time.
4. Always prefer the questions in which you have to prove something because at that time if you prove what requires then your answer is almost correct but if you have to find an answer of any question then you may not be sure whether your answer is correct or not.(This is what I preferred in class 12 exam which really helped me to score good marks).
5. Remember another thing that always use to make diagrams if you are doing derivation of something and use dark pencils for that.
6. Your answer should be neat and clean and handwriting should also be good.
7. After writing answer of all the questions you know, go for those which you left and give a full try to solve them.If it is difficult then also you should just try it. Sometimes questions look difficult by seeing but on solving them you will get some idea to do that and finally, you end up solving that. Even if you couldn't solve but tried then also some marks are given on steps.
8. Always have a watch with you so that you can manage your time smartly.
9. You should have good writing speed too.
