We all read lots of subjects in our schools. We enjoy studying some subjects and also hate some of them. Sometimes we love all the subjects and study them only for the sake of interest and sometime we hate all of them and study only for the sake of scoring marks in the exams. But eventually after coming out of school and spending a year in the college we forget most of the subjects almost completely.
An engineering student after coming to college does not remember most of the stuffs of biology, history or geography. A medical student can't recall the integration, differentiation of mathematics (most of the time). A humanity student mostly forget the laws of physics. So finally what are we getting at the end of the day? Have we ever asked this question with ourself ? Most of the time the answer will be NO and if someone would have asked it, they(most of the people) might not ask it deeply.
We should must read all the things which are being taught to us in the schools but the point is will it be enough? The answer is a big NO. The reason is that most of us don't use those bookish knowledges in our career or daily life. As soon as we reach the verge of starting our career we realise this bitter truth. At that time we(mostly) realise that if we would have given a little time to the extra skills relevant to life and career other than only the bookish knowledge then we would have a better situation of life than this.
Now the question is what should a teen do who is in the school right now and only mugging up some bookish stuffs ? The answer is quite simple. He/She should learn lots of extra skills along with the studying academics subjects and books. Those skills or knowledge should be of Entrepreneurship , Leadership, Human behaviour, Public speaking, programming, sales and marketing, Public relationship, public administration, different kind of sports( at least one) etc etc.
Look everyone should study properly those academics subjects which are being taught in the schools but only those knowledges will not be sufficient in the long run of life. Getting 75% of score in the school exams and knowing most of the above mentioned skills is far better than scoring 98% in that exam and knowing nothing about any of those skills. It is also not a good idea to skip the academics subjects completely but the balance between those skills and academics should must be there.
